Job Summary

AGM / DGM

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the

  complete tender lifecycle

  from opportunity identification, document preparation, submission, pricing strategy, to post-award execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with

  government institutions, procurement agencies, NGOs

  , and

  regulatory bodies

  in

  East Africa and SADC

  markets.
• Strategize and respond to

  international tenders

  (public and private) with a deep understanding of

  local compliance, regulatory norms

  , and

  commercial practices

  .
• Drive business expansion through participation in

  GlobalFund funding tenders

  and

  local MOH

  tenders.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing for successful tender execution and delivery.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and pricing benchmarks in the designated regions.
• Ensure timely product registration, dossier submissions, and documentation as per country-specific guidelines.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members to enhance capability and efficiency.

Key Requirements

• Educational Qualification:

  B. Pharm / M. Pharm / MBA (International Business or Marketing preferred).

• Experience:

  14 20 years of

  hardcore pharma tender experience

  , particularly in

  East Africa

  and

  SADC

  markets.
• Proven track record of winning tenders in international geographies, especially through

  government procurement

  and

  institutional channels

  .
• Strong understanding of regulatory and commercial landscape of

  African pharma tender markets

  .
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to African countries as per business needs

• Exposure to tender platforms such as

  UNGM, Global Fund, AFDC, etc.

• Existing contacts and networks in

  African health ministries, procurement bodies
