Position Summary: Data Center Civil Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center construction projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The manager coordinates with cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of data center construction projects, from design and permitting through to commissioning and handover. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with construction plans, safety regulations, and quality standards. Manage relationships and negotiations with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align project objectives and resolve issues. Monitor project performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies on-site. Lead teams of construction managers, engineers, and site supervisors, providing mentorship and guidance. Drive continuous improvement in construction processes and methodologies. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Masters degree preferred). 12+ years of experience managing large-scale data center or critical facility construction projects. Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, and structural components. Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942). Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure environments. Preferred Skills: PMP or similar project management certification. Experience with sustainable construction and green building practices.
