Underwriting and Placement (EB and Non-EB)

You will be joining our team as an Underwriting & Placement (EB & Non-EB) specialist, where your main responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end underwriting and placement of insurance policies for various lines of business such as Property, Marine, Engineering, and Employee Benefits. Your role will involve evaluating client risks, preparing and negotiating quotes, and ensuring accurate and compliant policy placement. Your key duties will involve recommending appropriate insurance policies to clients based on risk gap analysis, preparing Broking Slips, Quotes, and Placement Slips, and assessing risk factors to determine coverage, eligibility, premium pricing, and policy terms. You will be expected to use underwriting guidelines, rating manuals, and industry standards to make informed decisions, negotiate with insurers for competitive premiums and terms, and manage pre- and post-placement servicing including data analysis and client coordination. Additionally, you will conduct quality checks of policy documents, analyze existing insurance programs for risk gaps, and maintain records and reports on all placements and RFQs. To excel in this role, you should possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, high attention to detail, and accuracy in documentation. A solid understanding of insurance underwriting principles and risk assessment is essential, along with proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance underwriting and placement. Having experience working with an insurance broking company would be considered an added advantage.,
