As a Motion Designer at Habit, you will play a crucial role in bringing delight, clarity, and personality to our product through engaging animations and micro-interactions. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that motion is not only smooth and performant but also scalable. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing and prototyping motion interactions for the Habit app, including onboarding flows, feature reveals, loading states, and more. - Working closely with Product and Tech teams to guarantee that the motion is seamless and aligns with performance standards. - Using animation as a tool to guide users, emphasize states, and reduce cognitive load effectively. - Collaborating with the Brand and Marketing teams to develop motion assets for campaigns, social media, and in-app stories. - Developing and implementing Habit's motion system, including defining principles, documentation, and reusable patterns. To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications: - Proficiency in motion design tools such as After Effects, Figma, Principle, or similar software. - Strong foundation in UI/UX design and the ability to transform static designs into engaging motion experiences. - Knowledge of animation principles, including timing, easing, and anticipation in digital interfaces. - Ability to work closely with engineers to implement motion designs while ensuring optimal performance. - A portfolio demonstrating your expertise in incorporating motion into real product contexts, showcasing your practical skills rather than just showreels.
