UI Engineer (React + Next.js)

Responsibilities

• React & Next.js Development

  : Build responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React (18+) and Next.js (14+) with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and ChakraUI.

• TDD & Code Quality

  : Practice test-driven development, writing robust unit, integration, and snapshot tests (Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress).

• Cross-Platform Integration

  : Occasionally adapt the codebase for iOS using Capacitor, enabling a unified web + mobile experience.

• Collaboration with Microservices

  : Integrate seamlessly with Python/Java backends, ensuring efficient data flows and consistent user experiences.

• Performance & Observability

  : Optimize page load, responsiveness, and incorporate Observability metrics/logs (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus) to monitor user-impact.

• Innovation & Growth

  : Participate in hackathons or open-source communities, constantly exploring new libraries and frameworks.

Tech Stack & Skills

• Core

  : React 18, Next.js 14, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, ChakraUI

• Testing

  : Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress

• CI/CD

  : Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions

• Mobile

  : Capacitor (for iOS), basic Xcode knowledge

• Bonus

  : Observability (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana), hackathon or open-source experience

Qualifications

• Experience

  : 2-5 years in front-end or full-stack development

• Skills

  : Strong React & Next.js fundamentals, TypeScript proficiency, and an eye for clean UX

  : Comfortable iterating rapidly, pivoting quickly, and taking ownership in a lean startup
