Typescript Full Stack Developer

Role Overview: As a mid-level Full Stack Engineer at UBS, you will play a crucial role in implementing the code that underpins the UBS Data Mesh. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying digital principles, learning new technologies with a focus on sustainability, working collaboratively in agile multi-disciplinary teams, sharing knowledge with colleagues, assisting in hiring talented data engineers, and contributing to the engineering culture and internal communities. Key Responsibilities: - Implement code that underpins the UBS Data Mesh - Ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions - Learn new technologies and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind - Work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams - Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, assist in hiring talented data engineers, and contribute regularly to engineering culture and internal communities Qualifications Required: - Experienced Developer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in development projects for larger enterprises - Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript - Experience in developing and deploying large-scale NodeJS applications, preferably in the financial services sector - Familiarity with specification-first API design and development practices using technologies such as JSON Schema, JSON-LD, OpenAPI - Experience with single-page application architectures, with React preferred - Proven experience in developing for cloud platforms, with MS Azure preferred - Experience in working in an agile development environment, specifically Scrum - Familiarity with CI/CD development approaches, continuous development, and container-based development - Proficiency in java, Python, TypeScript - Experience with unit tests framework (i.e., Junit) - Knowledge of web development (React, Angular, EXT JS) - Familiarity with public cloud services, preferably on Azure - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform - Understanding of data mesh principles and technologies - Working knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu - Knowledge of backstage is a plus About UBS: UBS is the world's largest and only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
