· To assist and co-ordinate the strategy planning exercise for the MD & JMD, Medical Director. · To assist with MIS and financial data required for making strategic / policy decisions by doing a thorough business analysis. · To monitor the tasks delegated by the MD to ensure that they are achieved within the set deadlines. · To make sure the records of all the happenings are maintained perfectly for future reference. · To manage MD & JMD, Medical Director’s schedule and workload and ensure that he/she is adequately prepared for meetings. · Prepare meeting agendas, provide background information and ensure that the MD & JMD, Medical Director arrives on time for the meeting. · Co-ordinate with the HODs in order to schedule meetings, handle logistics and send materials for review before the meetings. Also participate in the meetings, take notes and distribute them. · Assist MD & JMD, Medical Director in conducting monthly, quarterly and annual reviews. Organize weekly review meetings with various departments. · Plan, organize and keep the aware of all the ongoing and forthcoming tasks and projects. F To work with the rest of the team to make sure that everything needed for the surgical procedure is in the room and that a sterile environment has been established. The scrub nurse becomes a surgeon's go-to person when surgery begins. F To maintain a sterile environment for the surgeon as well as the patient on the operating table in order to decrease the chances of spreading infections. F To identify every instrument used in the operating room in order to pass surgeons the appropriate tools needed during procedures. The nurses understanding of each tool's function helps make the surgery go smoothly and finish in a timely manner. F Check with the OT Booking Register F Pack the instruments and linen loosely, get them autoclaved and confirm that the set is sterile, by noting the color of the indicator tape F Confirm that the necessary items are available in the OT Stores. F Receive the Patient Material Requisition Slip from the OT stores, bring the sterile linen and instrument bundles and keep them in the trolley in the respective theatre. F Count and enlist the sponges in the Sponge Counting Book before start of the surgery and before closure of the surgery and ensure that it tallies with the circulatory nurse record. F Assist the Surgeon during the procedure. F Wash, dry and pack the instruments and send for autoclaving. Ensure that they tally with the Surgical Sets Check Book. F Settle the Patient Material Requisition Slip.
