Job Summary
The Roadway Worker in Charge plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of roadway operations. This position involves overseeing the work of crew members, coordinating activities on-site, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and community support, with the ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of roadway work crews to ensure efficient operations.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular inspections of work sites to assess conditions and make necessary adjustments.
• Provide training and support to crew members on best practices for roadway maintenance and safety.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents that occur on-site.
• Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, utilizing basic life support skills when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home & community care is preferred.
• Basic life support certification is required.
• Experience in patient care or hospital settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with critical care transport procedures is advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
