Position - Medical Writer / Scientific Writer Location- Hyderabad Experience : 3-5 years' experience in scientific writing preferably in the pharmaceutical industry Minimum Requirements: Minimum: healthcare professional degree or degree in a healthcare-related field Desirable: advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in life science/healthcare Tenure : 6 Months - extension based on performance Description: Job Purpose (State in one sentence the overall objective of the role) To write, support and manage projects to prepare high quality medical and scientific communications including, literature review, abstracts, posters, slide sets, Manuscripts (complex) for publication/ presentation at congresses or internal medical and/or clinical teams. Major Activities (Describe 8 12 main activities ) 1. Prepares, literature review, abstracts, posters, and slide sets, and Manuscripts (complex) working from various data sources including clinical study reports, patient profiles, protocols etc. 2. Performs quality control (QC) checking / proof reading of the above mentioned deliverables to meet customer expectations. 3. Manages multiple projects of up to two brands at any given time. 4. Obtains feedback from customers and implements customer management tactics. 5. Complies with and support groups project management tool, standards, policies and initiatives. 6. Follows specifications for documentation, specifically Novstyle, templates etc. 7. Follows and tracks clinical trial milestones for assigned projects. 8. Maintains records for all assigned projects including archiving. 9. Maintains audit, SOP and training compliance. 10. Trains new joiners, fellow colleagues as and when required. 11. Performs additional tasks as assigned. Key Performance Indicators (Indicate how performance for this role will be measured) 1. Preparation of the above referenced documents meeting set quality standards and on time for submission to Health Authorities/ Clinical teams / Journals as appropriate. (i.e. complying with standards e.g. CONSORT regarding publication of trial results, complying with journal formatting requirements etc). 2. Publications are acceptable to internal and external authors (no issues with authorship). 3. Publications are acceptable to marketing and other internal customers. 4. Completion of an adequate number of medical and scientific documents (taking into account complexity) per year.
