Job Title: Trainer - Tile Layer

Location: Anywhere in Tamil Nadu

Job Description:

The Tile Layer will be responsible for installing tiles (ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, or other materials) on floors, walls, ceilings, and outdoor surfaces. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret design plans to ensure a high-quality finish that meets client and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Surface Preparation:

• Clean and level the surface before tile installation.
• Apply adhesives, cement, or mortar to prepare surfaces.
• Cut and shape tiles to fit edges, corners, and complex layouts.

Tile Installation:

• Lay tiles according to design plans and alignment requirements.
• Use tools such as tile cutters, trowels, spacers, and leveling systems.
• Ensure proper spacing and alignment for aesthetic appeal and durability.

Finishing Work:

• Apply grout and sealants to secure tiles.
• Polish and clean installed tiles.
• Repair or replace damaged tiles when needed.

Quality & Safety Compliance:

• Follow industry standards, safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety at the worksite.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and durability.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Tile Layer or similar role.
• Knowledge of various tile types, adhesives, and grouting methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
• Physical stamina to work in standing, bending, and kneeling positions for long hours.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and layout planning.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Vocational training or certification in tiling/masonry (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

Tools & Equipment Knowledge

• Tile cutters, wet saws, grinders, spacers, trowels, and spirit levels.
• Knowledge of adhesives, sealants, and grout types.
