Job Title: Trainer – Telecom E-Waste Handler

Job Summary

The Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality training to candidates on safe collection, segregation, dismantling, handling, storage, and channelization of telecom and electronic waste. The trainer ensures trainees gain practical, job-ready skills aligned with industry standards, environmental regulations.

The role includes classroom teaching, hands-on lab sessions, workplace safety instruction, assessments, documentation, and support for placements/OJT.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Delivery

• Deliver theory and practical sessions for Telecom E-Waste Handler batches as per curriculum/QP/NOS.
• Explain end-to-end e-waste lifecycle: collection → segregation → dismantling → storage → recycling/disposal.
• Train learners on telecom-specific waste streams (e.g., cables, modem/router parts, circuit boards, towers electronics, batteries, UPS, SIM/ICT devices).
• Use learner-centered methods: demonstrations, role plays, case studies, group activities, and videos.

2. Practical / Lab & Field Training

• Conduct hands-on sessions on:
• Identification of e-waste categories and hazards
• Safe dismantling techniques
• Sorting by material type (plastic, metal, PCB, glass, battery, etc.)
• Reusable vs recyclable vs hazardous segregation
• Packing/labeling/storage practices
• Ensure trainees correctly use tools and PPE during practicals.
• Coordinate field visits to collection centers/recyclers/telecom service facilities if applicable.

3. Safety, Compliance & Environment

• Train on workplace health & safety norms:
• Hazard identification and risk mitigation
• PPE usage (gloves, masks, goggles, ESD protection, safety shoes)
• Fire safety, first aid, and emergency response
• Educate trainees on Indian e-waste regulations, pollution control norms, and safe disposal practices.
• Reinforce environmental awareness, circular economy principles, and ethical handling.

4. Assessment & Certification Support

• Prepare session plans, practice sheets, and mock assessments.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments (theory + practical).
• Maintain evidence records: attendance, batch reports, assessment sheets, photos/videos, lab checklists.
• Support third-party/SSC assessment and certification processes.

5. Batch & Class Management

• Maintain discipline, motivate candidates, and ensure inclusive learning.
• Identify slow learners and provide remedial support.
• Track progress against learning outcomes and course schedule.
• Ensure course completion within timelines.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily training logs, lesson plans, candidate portfolios, and inventory registers.
• Submit weekly/monthly reports to Training Manager / Project Head.
• Record placements/OJT details and follow-up reports where required.

7. Placement / Industry Linkage Support (if applicable)

• Coordinate with placement team for trainee readiness.
• Provide employability modules: basic communication, workplace behavior, and time management.
• Support employer visits, interviews, and OJT planning.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Minimum: ITI / Diploma / Graduate in Electronics, Electrical, Telecom, Environmental Science, Waste Management, or related fields.
• Preferred: Certification in E-Waste Management / Environment & Safety / Telecom Operations.

Experience

• 2–5 years experience in e-waste handling/recycling/telecom maintenance/technical training.
• Prior experience as a trainer in NSDC/SSC/Skill Development programs is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with dismantling, sorting, or recycling operations is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
• E-waste categories and telecom-waste components
• Dismantling procedures and safe tool handling
• Material segregation and hazard labeling
• Storage, transportation, and recycler handover practices
• Relevant EHS standards and legal compliance
• Basic computer skills for MIS/reporting.

Behavioral / Soft Skills

• Good communication in local language + basic English/Hindi preferred.
• Ability to explain technical topics simply.
• Patience, empathy, and classroom control.
• Strong focus on safety and discipline.
• Willingness to travel to training centers/field locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
