Role & responsibilities

Steel Detailing Trainee Engineer Roles & Responsibilities (Short):

Study Structural Drawings:
Understand architectural and structural plans.
Prepare Shop Drawings:
Create 2D/3D models and fabrication drawings using software like SDS or Tekla.
BOM Preparation:
Assist in generating Bill of Materials (BOM).
Co-ordination:
Communicate with design teams and senior detailers.
Quality Checks:
Ensure drawings meet project and industry standards.
Revisions & Updates:
Incorporate markups and revise drawings as required.
Learn Codes & Standards:
Familiarize with AISC, BS, or relevant standards.
Documentation:
Maintain project records and drawing logs.
