Job Description

As a Director - Treasury at our organization, you will lead the Treasury team in India. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing capital, liquidity, funding, and investment activities for the India branch. You will manage the INR investment portfolio and play a crucial role in ALCO forums and regulatory engagements. To excel in this role, you should have extensive experience in managing both INR and FCY funding, as well as fixed income investments. Your expertise in Treasury governance will be essential in supervising the funding requirements of the India franchise. Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to lead Treasury interactions, manage regulatory expectations, and drive investment strategy and issuance programs with precision and accountability. Basic/Essential Qualifications: - Proven experience in managing funding for an India branch in both INR and FCYs. - Familiarity with investment in INR fixed income, including FX swaps, INR Govt Bonds, and INR swaps. - This role involves managerial responsibilities and being a key stakeholder in PLC India ALCO meetings. - Ability to supervise India business-related entities" funding needs and lead Treasury initiatives for franchise growth. - In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements locally and globally, including LCR, NSFR, ALM, and capital metrics. Desirable skillsets/good to have: - Experience in funding or investment in other Asia markets besides India. The job location for this role is in Mumbai and is regulated by the National Futures Association (NFA). Purpose of the role: The primary purpose of this role is to buy and sell financial instruments to generate revenue for the bank by analyzing market conditions, executing trades, and managing risks effectively. Accountabilities: - Developing and implementing trading strategies aligned with the bank's risk appetite and investment objectives. - Executing trades while adhering to the bank's strategies and risk parameters. - Monitoring market movements and adjusting trading strategies accordingly. - Maintaining accurate trading records and preparing reports. - Monitoring global financial markets, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities. - Managing and monitoring risks associated with the trading portfolio. Director Expectations: - Managing a business function and providing input to strategic initiatives. - Leading a large team or sub-function and embedding a performance culture. - Providing expert advice to senior management and committees. - Managing resources, budgeting, and policy creation for a sub-function. - Ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a culture of compliance. - Demonstrating extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division to achieve business objectives. - Making significant decisions and recommendations within the area. - Negotiating with stakeholders at a senior level and acting as a spokesperson for the function and business division.,
