Tractor Driver cum Farm Tool Operator

A Tractor Driver cum Farm Tool Operator is responsible for operating tractors and agricultural implements to carry out essential farming tasks. The candidate should also have the ability to supervise farming operations and assist in coordinating daily field activities. They may additionally be required to drive personal or utility 4-wheeler vehicles for farm or administrative purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tractor Operation:

Safely operate tractors for plowing, tilling, seeding, spraying, irrigation setup, and harvesting.

• Farm Equipment Handling:

Use and manage agricultural tools like rotavators, cultivators, trailers, and other attachments.

• 4-Wheeler Driving (Personal/Utility Vehicles):

Drive personal or utility 4-wheel vehicles (e.g., car, jeep, pick-up) when needed for logistics and farm operations.

• Farm Supervision:

Assist in overseeing daily farming activities such as sowing, weeding, fertilizing, irrigation, and harvesting. Guide and monitor farm laborers as required.

• Maintenance & Repairs:

Perform routine checks and minor repairs of tractors, farm tools, and 4-wheelers to ensure optimal functioning.

• Safety & Hygiene Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols for machinery and hygiene practices during crop handling and equipment use.

• Record Keeping:

Maintain basic logs of fuel usage, machine hours, and maintenance schedules.

Eligibility & Skills Required:

• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in tractor and farm tool operations.
• Valid tractor driving license and LMV driving license for 4-wheelers.
• Basic knowledge of cropping patterns, soil handling, and seasonal agricultural operations.
• Ability to supervise farm workers and coordinate routine field activities.
• Mechanical skills for preventive maintenance and emergency troubleshooting.
• Physical fitness and discipline to work in rural/agro-field conditions.

Work Location:

Farming/cooperative/agri-project sites, typically rural or semi-rural areas.
