Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities of a Tool Room Assistant: Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of tools and equipment, including their availability, condition, and location. Tools and Skills Required: Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical components. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with basic computer software for inventory management and record keeping. Knowledge of safety procedures and practices. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for extended periods. Tool Distribution: Distributing tools to designated personnel and ensuring their proper return. Routine Maintenance: Performing tasks such as cleaning, inspection, and sharpening tools to ensure they are in good working order. Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of tool usage, repairs, and maintenance activities. Communication: Communicating with staff, engineers, and other departments to ensure efficient toolroom operations. Assisting with Repairs: Providing assistance with basic repairs and maintenance tasks on tools and equipment. Cleaning and Organization: Keeping the toolroom area clean, organized, and free of clutter. Order and Receive: Receiving and shipping tools and equipment as needed.
