Tool Maker

Role Overview: As a Tool Maker, your main responsibility will be to operate and maintain progressive stamping tools to support daily production requirements. You will also be in charge of ensuring that the Tooling Support Technician team is well-organized and staffed to respond promptly to any tool issues and perform preventative maintenance activities. Additionally, you will schedule tool room work effectively to optimize resource utilization and maintain a tooling preventative maintenance program. Your role will involve managing the tool room budget, promoting continuous improvement through 5S practices, and ensuring a clean and well-organized tool shop. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain progressive stamping tools - Ensure tools are production-ready and support daily production requirements - Organize and staff the Tooling Support Technician team for timely responses and preventative maintenance - Train tooling technicians on safe operating practices and procedures - Schedule tool room work for resource optimization and equipment performance - Develop and maintain a tooling preventative maintenance program - Manage the tool room budget effectively - Implement 5S practices for continuous improvement and waste elimination - Utilize visual management tools to promote best practices and minimize downtime Qualifications Required: - Minimum 6 years of experience in a Tooling Department - Diploma in Tool & Die/NTTF Additional Company Details: The company provides benefits such as training, canteen facilities, and other welfare services.
