Role Overview

• This is a

  hands-on technical and design-heavy role

  responsible for developing the

  Timing Subsystem for the PNT Payload

  completely from scratch.
• The engineer will work directly on

  atomic clock integration (OCXO, Rubidium, mRO, CSAC)

  and

  analog control circuit development

  to achieve a

  highly stable frequency/time output

  .
• The person will also perform

  testing, validation, and system-level integration

  while working cross-functionally with the

  payload, RF, and avionics teams

  .
• This is a

  build-from-ground-up role

  , not a maintenance or optimization role.

Key Expectations

• The engineer will

  design, test, and validate

  the entire timing subsystem (not just architecture).
• Must be comfortable with

  lab-based hands-on work

  operating instruments, performing frequency stability tests, and validating system performance.
• Will drive

  iteration-heavy development cycles

  to achieve mission-level timing stability and phase noise targets.
• Should be able to work

  independently

  , defining the setup and test plans with minimal supervision.
• Expected to work closely with the

  Navigation Signal Generation Unit (NSGU)

  and payload teams to align subsystem outputs.
• Can

  hire and lead a small team

  later if the scope scales up.

Preferred Background

• Background in

  Space, Defence, Metrology

  , or

  Precision Electronics

  domains.
• Experience in

  PNT systems, RF systems

  , or

  high-reliability electronics

  .
• Strong fundamentals in both

  hardware design and system-level timing architecture

  .
• Candidates who are

  technically strong, hands-on, and comfortable working in experimental setups

  are preferred over purely theoretical profiles.

Team & Reporting

• Reports directly to the

  Founding Engineering Team

  .
• Works cross-functionally with

  Payload, RF, Avionics, and NSGU

  teams.
• Expected to act as a

  lead/architect

  and can

  build a small timing systems team

  over time.
