Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Lesson Planning:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in

      Hindi

      and

      Sanskrit

      for students in Grades 610, in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
    • Develop comprehensive lesson plans, instructional resources, and materials to effectively teach both languages and ensure holistic learning.
    • Integrate creative teaching techniques, literature, language games, and multimedia resources to make learning both Hindi and Sanskrit interactive and enjoyable.
  • Assessment & Evaluation:

    • Design and conduct regular formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, assignments, projects, and exams, to monitor students progress in both languages.
    • Provide timely feedback on assignments, exams, and oral activities to help students improve their proficiency in both languages.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, class attendance, and other academic activities.
  • Student Support & Mentoring:

    • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them overcome language-related challenges in both Hindi and Sanskrit.
    • Motivate students to excel academically by fostering a positive and encouraging classroom environment.
    • Offer remedial classes or extra tutoring to students requiring additional help in language acquisition and literary skills.
  • Curriculum Development & Enhancement:

    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the schools Hindi and Sanskrit curriculum by offering suggestions for enhancements and integrating innovative teaching strategies.
    • Incorporate the cultural and historical context of Hindi and Sanskrit literature to deepen students understanding of both languages.
  • Classroom Management:

    • Maintain discipline in the classroom, ensuring that students stay focused and engaged in language learning activities.
    • Create a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and self-expression.
  • Cultural Engagement:

    • Organize and participate in language-related cultural activities, competitions, and events to foster a deeper connection with both Hindi and Sanskrit.
    • Engage students in discussions on the significance of both languages in Indian culture, heritage, and modern society.
  • Professional Development & Collaboration:

    • Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and developments in Hindi and Sanskrit education.
    • Participate in school meetings, workshops, and teacher development programs to improve teaching practices.
    • Collaborate with fellow teachers to share best practices, resources, and strategies for promoting multilingualism.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor's degree in

      Hindi

      and

      Sanskrit

      (B.A. with both languages as specializations) from a recognized university.
    • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution, with a focus on teaching Hindi and Sanskrit.
    • Masters degree in

      Hindi

      and/or

      Sanskrit

      (M.A.) is an added advantage.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of [X] years of teaching experience in

      Hindi

      and

      Sanskrit

      at the middle and secondary school level (Grades 6–10) in a CBSE-affiliated school.
    • Experience in preparing students for CBSE board exams (especially for Hindi and Sanskrit) will be preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Proficient in both

      Hindi

      and

      Sanskrit

      with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
    • In-depth knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and assessment procedures for

      Hindi

      and

      Sanskrit

      .
    • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to foster a love for language learning, both classical and modern, among students.
    • Proficiency in using technology (such as language apps, multimedia resources) to enhance teaching and student engagement.
    • Passion for teaching and a commitment to students’ academic and personal development.
