Role Overview: As a Middle School Teacher at Christel House, your primary responsibility is to nurture the academic, social, and emotional development of young children. You will create a positive learning environment where students can explore, learn, and grow. Your role will involve planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support each child's educational journey. Key Responsibilities: - Design engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with the curriculum of the relevant subject area. - Organize field trips aligned with the curriculum to provide hands-on learning experiences. - Foster values and independent thinking among students through experiential learning. - Incorporate innovative teaching strategies to enhance student-learning experiences. - Regularly assess and revise teaching materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness. - Assess individual student progress through formative and summative assessments. - Communicate with parents during Parent-Teacher Meetings to understand students" backgrounds and update parents on their progress. - Analyze assessment data to identify areas for improvement and tailor instruction accordingly. - Collaborate with class teachers and parallel teachers to support students" overall development. - Ensure classrooms are safe, positive, and nurturing environments conducive to learning. - Organize events and competitions to foster curiosity in students and develop their competitiveness. - Participate in school events to foster a sense of community and school spirit. - Assist in organizing and supervising extracurricular activities to enrich students" learning experiences. - Attend staff and department meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills. - Participate in invigilation and evaluation duties as required. - Reflect on teaching practices and contribute to school-wide reviews of policies and aims. - Keep accurate records of attendance, grades, and other relevant data. - Provide pastoral care and student management by understanding students" psychological needs and extending empathy towards them. - Train students to develop life skills and literacy skills to help them cope with the dynamic world. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject, education, or related field. - Proficiency in the English language. - Previous experience in teaching the relevant subject at the middle/high school level preferred. - Competent in using computers, adept at working on MS Word, Excel, PPT, etc. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to create engaging lesson plans and teaching materials. - Understanding of curriculum development and implementation. - A high level of professionalism and a growth mindset.,
