TGT Computer Science

The TGT Computer Science teacher is responsible for teaching computer fundamentals and programming concepts to students of classes 6–10. The role includes planning lessons, conducting practical computer lab activities, evaluating student performance, and helping students build strong digital literacy and foundational computational thinking skills in alignment with the school’s curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).

Key Responsibilities Teaching & Curriculum Delivery

• Teach topics such as:
• Computer fundamentals & digital literacy
• Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Basics of programming (Scratch, Python basics, HTML/CSS)
• Internet usage, cybersecurity & digital citizenship
• Computer hardware, software, and operating systems
• Prepare engaging lesson plans based on curriculum requirements.
• Conduct interactive practical sessions in the computer laboratory.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Prepare worksheets, assignments, projects, and tests.
• Conduct regular assessments and maintain student performance records.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

Classroom & Lab Management

• Ensure safe usage of computer systems and maintain discipline.
• Assist in basic troubleshooting of software or hardware issues.
• Keep lab equipment, software, and systems updated (with IT support).

Student Development

• Encourage interest in coding, technology, and problem-solving.
• Guide students in computer-related competitions, exhibitions, and clubs.
• Support diverse learners with differentiated instructions.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain attendance and documentation of academic activities.
• Participate in school committees, events, and faculty meetings.
• Attend professional development workshops and integrate modern teaching methods.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. ( Computer Science/IT) / BCA / B.Tech or equivalent).
• B.Ed. is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of foundational computer concepts.

Skills & Competencies

• Good command over basic programming and computer applications.
• Effective communication and classroom management.
• Ability to simplify and explain concepts to younger learners.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching technology.

Experience

• 1–2 years of teaching experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,490.13 - ₹35,015.98 per month
