Key Responsibilities: Operating and Maintaining Equipment: Textile machine operators are responsible for setting up, operating, and tending machines that knit, loop, weave, or draw in textiles. This can include winding or twisting yarn, spinning fibers, or processing fabric for dyeing, bleaching, or finishing. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Operators must be able to identify and address minor issues or malfunctions on the machines they operate. Quality Control: They are responsible for observing the output of the machines and detecting any defects in the textile product. Safety: Textile machine operators must adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate safety equipment. Material Handling: They may be involved in moving raw materials or finished products, and may need to lift and carry heavy items. Following Production Procedures: Operators must follow established procedures for operating machines and processing materials, ensuring that products meet quality standards. Record Keeping: In some cases, they may be required to record production data, machine performance, or any maintenance activities performed.
