Textile Worker

As a Textile Machine Operator, your main responsibility will be to operate and maintain equipment used in producing various textiles. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the machines are running smoothly, troubleshooting any issues that may arise, and producing high-quality textile products. Additionally, you may be tasked with operating multiple machines, cleaning equipment, and changing parts as needed. Your duties will include setting up, operating, and tending to machines that knit, loop, weave, or draw in textiles. This may involve tasks such as winding or twisting yarn, spinning fibers, or processing fabric for dyeing, bleaching, or finishing. It will also be important for you to be able to identify and address minor issues or malfunctions that occur during operation. Quality control will be a key aspect of your role, as you will be responsible for observing the output of the machines and detecting any defects in the textile products being produced. Ensuring the safety of yourself and others in the workplace will also be essential, which includes following safety procedures and wearing appropriate safety equipment. You may also be involved in material handling, which could include moving raw materials or finished products. This may require you to lift and carry heavy items, so physical strength may be necessary. Following established production procedures and processing materials according to standards will be crucial in meeting quality requirements. In some cases, you may be required to keep records of production data, machine performance, or any maintenance activities performed. This will help in tracking the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule.
