Textile Specialist

You will be part of a global export marketplace that bridges international buyers and trusted textile suppliers in India. As a Textile Manufacturing Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and coordinate production activities at our partner supplier facilities. This hands-on field role necessitates regular visits to supplier sites in Kolkata or Tirupur to ensure that production aligns with buyer specifications and quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing textile production processes, conducting on-site visits for monitoring progress and quality, inspecting raw materials and finished goods, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Additionally, you will be required to coordinate between buyers and suppliers, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain records of production milestones and shipment status. Your role will also involve advising internal teams on supplier capabilities, risks, and areas for improvement, as well as contributing to onboarding and evaluating new suppliers. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Manufacturing, or Production Management, along with more than 20 years of experience in production/vendor management within the textile/apparel/export industry. Proficiency in textile manufacturing processes, quality control practices, and prior experience in liaising between suppliers and export buyers is preferred. Fluency in Hindi and English, with regional language skills being an added advantage, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships effectively, have a detail-oriented and process-driven mindset, and be familiar with export documentation and buyer compliance standards. Tech-savviness and the ability to travel frequently and work independently at supplier sites will also be crucial for success in this role.,
