Textile Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Textile Engineer to join our team. The role involves designing, developing, and improving textile products and processes, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards. The candidate will work closely with production, merchandising, and quality teams to deliver innovative solutions in fabrics, yarns, and garments.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and test textile materials, fibers, yarns, and fabrics.

* Work on product innovation, process optimization, and cost reduction.

* Oversee dyeing, printing, weaving, knitting, and finishing processes.

* Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

* Collaborate with R\&D and production teams to develop new fabrics and improve performance.

* Monitor and control the production process to minimize defects and wastage.

* Conduct technical analysis and resolve production/quality issues.

* Evaluate raw materials and supplier quality.

* Assist in setting up new machines, technologies, and automation processes.

* Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and sustainability practices in textiles.

Preferred candidate profile

* Bachelors degree in Textile Engineering / Textile Technology.

* Strong knowledge of textile fibers, yarns, fabrics, and garment manufacturing.

* Familiarity with dyeing, finishing, and testing standards.

* 13 years for entry-level positions.

* 4–8 years for senior positions in textile production/quality/R\&D.

* Problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Knowledge of textile machinery and production processes.
