Job Description

Job Title: Data Engineer Tester (Azure & Databricks)

Key Responsibilities:

Test ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
Validate data transformations across Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
Automate data quality checks using PySpark, SQL, Great Expectations, or pytest.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Monitor data quality and pipeline health using Azure tools.
Collaborate with data engineers and QA teams; maintain test documentation.

Required Skills:

Hands-on with Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Databricks (PySpark, SQL).
Experience with data testing tools and CI/CD integration.
Strong SQL, Python, and data validation knowledge.

Preferred:

Experience with Unity Catalog, Azure Purview, or data observability tools.
Microsoft Azure Data Engineer certification.
Knowledge of data privacy standards (GDPR, HIPAA).Role & responsibilities
