Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Test Lead with 5-9 years of experience to develop test cases and automation scripts for core applications and new features, ensuring defect-free release of the application. This position is based in [location to be specified]. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing and quality assurance.

Roles and Responsibility

Develop test cases and automation scripts for core applications and new features.
Ensure defect-free release of the application by reviewing and fixing defects.
Coordinate between onsite/offshore teams, customers, and other support groups for smooth testing implementation.
Manage escalations as required and escalate situations if necessary.
Conduct sanity checks on all core applications using automated scripts and publish results for integration tests.
Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis, and suggest necessary actions such as bug resolution and code optimization.

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in testing and quality assurance.
Strong knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
Experience in developing test cases, test scripts, and test data for functional and non-functional testing.
Ability to coordinate between onsite/offshore teams, customers, and other support groups.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
Review customer requirements and document the Test Plan detailing a systematic approach to testing including test scope, schedules, responsibilities, approach, reporting, etc.
Provide inputs on effort estimation for testing.
Ensure review of defects and their closure.
Ensure planned execution dates and deliverable quality are met, escalating situations if required at appropriate times.
Carry out sanity checks on all core applications by running automated scripts and publish the results for integration tests.
Prepare and circulate important test metrics to stakeholders.
Ensure supporting documents and knowledge base are created from testing results for further reference and that defects are logged properly, along with uploading test results.
