Test Engineer

The ideal candidate should have 15 years of QA/Test Engineering experience in the Life Insurance domain. You will be responsible for analyzing and validating business rules and system calculations related to death, maturity, and surrender. Your duties will include designing, executing, and maintaining detailed test cases and test scripts, as well as performing various types of testing such as functional, regression, integration, and UAT. It will be crucial to ensure that calculation logic aligns with product specifications and compliance requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, BAs, and actuarial teams. Identifying and documenting defects, and driving them to closure will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, reviewing policy documents, calculation sheets, and system-generated outputs for accuracy will be essential. In terms of qualifications, the candidate must have mandatory hands-on experience with Life Asia (Admin/Backend/Testing modules) and a solid understanding of life insurance processes and calculations such as death claim, maturity benefit, and surrender value. Proficiency in creating and executing functional test cases, familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM, and a working knowledge of SQL for data validation are required. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking are crucial for this role. Experience with automation tools like Selenium or UFT, prior exposure to other insurance platforms like Ingenium, and QA certifications like ISTQB are considered good to have. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, and the work location is in person.
