Test Engineer, Pixel Wearables

As a Test Engineer at Google, your role involves writing scripts to automate testing and creating tools for developers to test their own code. You will navigate Google's extensive codebase, identify weaknesses, and innovate ways to enhance software quality. Your contributions will significantly impact the quality of Google's products and services. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own and drive wearables testing and performance strategies to ensure quality. - Utilize the latest AI technologies to enhance test coverage, effectiveness, productivity, and reporting. - Develop internal tools and dashboards to streamline test efforts and offer valuable insights. - Research and assess new testing tools and technologies to boost the team's capabilities. - Address technical challenges and bottlenecks in the testing process effectively. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging. - Experience with automation testing. - Experience with Android devices or Wear OS. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Experience in building web-based solutions to enhance test processes and reporting. - Familiarity with fine-tuning LLMs and Vertex AI, or other Open Source AI libraries. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies, CI, and release management.
