Test Engineer

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group, delivering IT, financial, and HR business services to all company areas. As a part of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring data accuracy across MS SQL, SSIS, and Snowflake platforms, supporting reliable data quality and reports. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing automated testing strategies, collaborating with Data and Analytics developers, executing test cases, analyzing results, identifying defects, establishing testing processes and procedures, monitoring product and process performance, and staying updated on data testing best practices. Compliance with Hydro Quality system, HSE regulations, and standardized operating procedures is essential. To excel in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience as a Manual/Automated Tester or Quality Assurance Analyst in a Business Intelligence environment. You must demonstrate a proven track record in designing and executing automated test scripts, experience in testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions across various platforms, strong analytical skills, effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodology, and proficiency in English. Preferred qualifications include experience in the manufacturing domain, a degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, and the ability to solve complex analytical problems through domain knowledge and technical expertise. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the capability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines are crucial.
