Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design, develop and execute test cases to ensure the quality of the product by proving system functionality, verify business and user requirements are met in Electrophysiology domain area.
Develop innovative test automation tools
Execute automated test scripts.
Ensure that tests have been conducted in accordance with written procedures.
Enhance the test automation framework and debug issues discovered in Jenkins builds
Plan the new test cases development for various software releases
Document test results and write test reports.
Diagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements in a bug tracking system.
Participate in regular scrum meetings, product review meetings, bug triage meetings etc.
Work closely with software development team, field support teams, and other cross-functional teams.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferably BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
In-depth knowledge of software development, life cycle and test methodology.
5+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining End-to-End (E2E) and potentially Component Tests using the Cypress testing framework.
Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks (e.g., using the Page Object Model - POM).
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript for writing and debugging test scripts.
Solid understanding of core web technologies: HTML, CSS, and the DOM (Document Object Model).
Ability to use Developer Tools for debugging and identifying element locators (e.g., CSS Selectors, XPaths).
Experience with API testing concepts and tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia) to test RESTful or GraphQL services.
Ability to use Cypress features for stubbing, spying, and mocking network requests (cy.intercept, cy.request).
Hands-on experience integrating Cypress test suites into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Proficiency with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps) to log, track, and manage software defects.
Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development.
Experience with design and development of test automation frameworks.
Experience working in Agile Scrum development environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have Skills

Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using tools like Cucumber or native Cypress Gherkin support.
Knowledge of SQL for database validation and data integrity checks.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
