Job Description

The Territory Manager FS -Key Account Lead for Karnataka plays a crucial role in managing and expanding a portfolio of key accounts. This position focuses on closely collaborating with clients to comprehend their requirements and devise tailored solutions to meet those needs effectively. The primary objective is to achieve set targets by delivering exceptional service to Key Accounts. Additionally, responsibilities include ensuring commercial and stock hygiene standards are maintained. A significant aspect of this role involves building and nurturing strong relationships with key account clients, distributors, customers, promoters, Cluster Manager, and internal stakeholders within the McCain system. The success of the position is measured by the ability to establish and maintain effective connections across various levels. Key areas of responsibility and deliverables include sales and business development tasks such as key client handling, customer relationship management, revenue growth, and profitability enhancement. The Territory Manager will manage existing clients within categories like LMEU, QSR, hotels, restaurants, cafes chains, and work towards expanding the client base as per the assigned geography. Furthermore, the role entails tracking secondary and tertiary sales, introducing new products, executing business development activations, managing distributors and clients, coordinating sampling and trade promotion activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Territory Manager will also be accountable for commercial hygiene practices like reconciliation and bookkeeping. Reporting to the Sr. Area Sales Manager FS for Karnataka, the ideal candidate for this position should possess a minimum of 3 years of FMCG sales experience, specifically in HORECA and Key Accounts handling. Geographical knowledge of Karnataka, a drive to achieve targets, and willingness to travel to key upcountry towns in the state are essential requirements for this role. Professional and technical competencies required for this position include expertise in business planning and management, strategic sales planning, and client management.
