Job Title: Teradata Developer

Job Summary

Teradata Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain
Teradata
database objects including tables, views, macros, stored procedures, and performance-optimized SQL queries.
Build and maintain
ETL workflows
using
Informatica PowerCenter
.
Develop Python scripts for automation, data validation, and integration with ETL processes.
Analyze complex datasets to support business requirements and improve data quality.
Optimize query performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and application teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
Participate in code reviews, best practices development, and process improvements.
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across data pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of hands-on experience
in
Teradata
development.
Strong proficiency in
Teradata SQL
, BTEQ, utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
Experience with
Informatica PowerCenter
(mappings, workflows, debugging).
Solid Python programming skills for scripting and automation.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schema, and ETL methodologies.
Experience in performance tuning (SQL, ETL jobs).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with CI/CD, Git, or automation tools.
Knowledge of scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
