The Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore is looking for a professional Research & Information Analyst to support our team with high-quality research, data synthesis, and timely insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring local news outlets on regional developments in the six Indian states covered by the Consulate-General (i.e., Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha);
• Compiling synopses of major state news which includes political, business, and international developments;
• Identifying and analysing emerging and longer-term socio-political trends in the six states;
• Advising the political team on domestic political nuances;
• Attend and report on seminars and conferences (as required);
• Accompanying Consulate-General officials for meetings, and note taking (as required);
• Assist with compiling of daily media reports;
• Non-Official Translation of Hindi / Marathi / Gujarati speeches, documents, letters, or news articles to English (as required);

• Covering duties of the Political and Economic Executive, when necessary;
• Assist with the planning of Official Visits;
• Support the Consulate-Generals efforts during emergencies and crisis; and
• Any other duties assigned by the Consul-General

Candidate Requirements

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with occasional extended hours when project deadlines require;
• Excellent written and spoken English (British English preferred);
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions;
• Professional, discreet, and able to handle sensitive information with care;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); and
• Calm and composed under pressure, with strong problem-solving ability.
