Role & responsibilities

• Understand the technical/project specifications.
• Study of connection design drawing and raising RFIs if any mismatch/missing data/conflicts arising.
• Scope of work to be studied properly and confirm with client.
• Ensuring all received inputs is latest as per Transmittal index.
• Documentation & tracking of all RFI queries and responses.
• Ensuring at modeling stage itself all Erection feasibilities and Transportations issues has been fixed.
• Ensuring Clash check has been done before releasing to production.
• Ensure all drawings have been created from model before shipment.
• Should be capable of working with Tekla Software & Check the Model and Drawings
• Familiar with AISC and CISC Standards for US Commercial projects with 3 - 7 years of experience.
• Checking 3D models in Tekla as per IFC drawings and Client specifications.
• Checking Single part drawings, Shop drawings, GA drawings, Erection drawings with related reports and NC files.
• Coordination with internal staff (Modeler/Editor) and prepare if any RFIs or queries.
• Ensuring all RFI responses been incorporated in model.
• Ensuring all checking comments been incorporated in model.
• Experience in checking structural steel fabrication and erection drawings.
• Good knowledge of MISC structures like Ladder, Handrails, stairs and platforms.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Structural Steel detailing using 3D modelling program.
• TEKLA Structures experience preferred.
• Industrial or commercial drafting diploma [DVS or DEP]. Or Civil Engineering Technical degree.
• Computer proficient with TEKLA Structures, AutoCAD or other detailing software & Microsoft Office Products.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must be able to sit at a computer work station for long periods of time.
• Must work well in a team and pressure environment.
• Must be having knowledge of AISC & CISC Standards for At least 3 Years

AISC/CISC experience must be recent, within 1 year.
