Job Description

In this role, you will be managing technology teams supporting various business functions such as Foreign Exchange, Rates, Liquid Products, Commodities sales, Risk, and trading across all these businesses. Your primary focus will be on leading the change by developing the teams to engage directly with the business to make a significant impact. It is crucial to increase the complexity of work delivered from India and establish accountability as key success factors. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads - Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities - Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders - Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans - Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices - Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers - Identify financial management and strategic resourcing - Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives - Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent - Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation - Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers - Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums - Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership - Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy **Qualification Required:** - 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education - 4+ years of management or leadership experience Apart from Capital Markets specific knowledge and skills listed above, desired qualifications include working knowledge of several capital markets and investment banking business practices, SEC, FINRA, Dodd Frank, Basel, Volcker, MIFID, FRTB, HKMA, and/or other industry regulations, experience in Agile methodology and CI/CD tools, and deep understanding of cross asset classes, markets, and portfolio optimization process. You should also have excellent first-hand experience building applications for at least one of the asset classes or business functions, as well as demonstrable success in creating effective technology teams in global business environments.
