Job Description

Role Overview: As a Technician in the Operation Theatre, your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of surgical procedures. You will be responsible for receiving patients, preparing them for surgery, assisting doctors during procedures, maintaining equipment, and following infection control guidelines. Your attention to detail and adherence to protocols will contribute to the overall quality of patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Receive patients for surgery and verify their identification. - Check patient files for proper documentation. - Prepare patients for surgery. - Assist doctors during surgical procedures. - Check and update emergency medicines, oxygen, and other drugs in the Operation Theatre. - Sterilize and maintain equipment in the Operation Theatre. - Ensure proper sterilization practices are followed. - Follow infection control guidelines. - Prioritize emergency cases and coordinate with consultants or respective departments. - Maintain appropriate documentation. - Treat all communication confidentially. - Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities. - Perform any assigned tasks as needed. - Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
