Department: Repair & Overhauling (RoH) – Railway Products

Reporting To: RoH Plant Supervisor / Production In-Charge


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated RoH Plant Technician to support the repair and assembly operations of railway products. The role involves working on the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of key components such as brake panels, compressors, and other brake units, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards.


Qualifications Required:

- ITI (Fitter / Turner / Mechanic / Electrician / Machinist)

- OR Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering


Experience Required:

- 0–1 year of experience in assembly, repair, or maintenance of mechanical or electrical equipment.

- Experience in the railway, automotive, or heavy engineering sectors will be an added advantage.

- Freshers with strong technical aptitude are encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of railway brake units and compressors.

• Assist in fault diagnosis and part replacement based on inspection reports.

• Perform precision assembly of mechanical sub-assemblies like brake panels and control units.

• Use tools and equipment such as torque wrenches, measuring instruments, and hydraulic presses.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for all repair tasks.

• Maintain proper documentation of repair jobs including job cards, checklists, and inspection logs.

• Ensure workplace safety, tool accountability, and cleanliness at the workstation.

• Support internal quality checks and comply with RoH plant quality and safety norms.

• Coordinate with team members and supervisors for workflow efficiency.


Key Skills & Competencies:

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and assembly techniques

• Familiarity with tools, gauges, and workshop instruments

• Ability to interpret simple technical drawings and assembly instructions

• Eye for detail and a safety-first attitude

• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn


Work Environment:

- Shop-floor-based role with physical activities like lifting, fitting, and tool handling

- Use of PPE and adherence to factory safety guidelines required

- May involve shift work or extended hours during urgent delivery schedules
