Job Summary:The Camera Fitting Technician is responsible for the professional and efficient installation, configuration, and maintenance of security camera systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer service abilities to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:Installation & Setup:Install and mount security cameras (CCTV, IP, etc.) and related equipment (DVRs, NVRs, monitors, cabling) according to project specifications and client requirements.Run and terminate various types of cabling (coaxial, Ethernet, power) in diverse environments (residential, commercial, industrial).Configure camera settings (resolution, frame rate, motion detection, etc.) and network settings (IP addressing, port forwarding).Ensure proper alignment and focus of cameras to achieve optimal coverage.Test and verify the functionality of installed systems, including recording, playback, and remote viewing.Maintenance & Troubleshooting:Perform routine maintenance checks and preventive maintenance on installed systems.Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to camera systems, including hardware and software problems.Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure stable system operation.Replace faulty components and perform necessary repairs.Respond to service calls and provide timely and effective solutions to customer problems.Customer Service & Communication:Provide clear and concise instructions to customers on system operation and maintenance.Explain technical concepts in a user-friendly manner.Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers and colleagues.Document installation and service activities accurately and thoroughly.Explain system functionality to the customer after installation is complete, and answer any questions they may have.
