Job Description: Technician – Mechanical Maintenance

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment in a facility. The role involves maintaining operational efficiency, managing equipment, ensuring safety compliance, optimizing costs, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to team development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operational Efficiency

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation of mechanical systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Conduct performance tests on equipment to detect inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports to track system performance and service history.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mechanical system efficiency.

2. Equipment Management

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and calibration of mechanical components.
• Assist in the procurement of spare parts, tools, and consumables required for mechanical maintenance.
• Maintain an updated inventory of mechanical spare parts and tools to avoid operational delays.
• Support the implementation of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or certification in ITI, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
