Job Description

As a Technical Test Lead at Accenture Song, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality software solutions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end testing strategies, driving test automation initiatives, and providing mentorship to the QA team. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining quality standards throughout the software development life cycle, from planning to delivery. Working closely with development, DevOps, and business teams, you will align QA efforts with project objectives to ensure successful outcomes. Your key responsibilities will involve defining and owning the automation testing strategy, identifying areas suitable for automation, and prioritizing test cases based on ROI analysis. You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks suitable for both UI and API layers. Additionally, you will lead the creation of comprehensive automation test plans that align with business goals, and provide technical mentorship to QA engineers to enhance automation and testing practices. To excel in this role, you should possess 5-8 years of experience in software testing, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership position. Proficiency in automation tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium is essential, along with strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with testing RESTful APIs and backend services. Knowledge of frameworks such as Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG, as well as familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git, are also required. In addition to the core technical skills, experience in performance testing tools, mobile testing frameworks, cross-browser testing, and security testing practices would be advantageous. A good understanding of agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and leadership qualities to effectively lead QA teams and manage stakeholders are crucial for success in this role.
