Job Description

As part of Cisco's Information Technology team, you will play a crucial role in building and managing the internal AI platform at Cisco. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing a GPU compute cluster for deep learning, high performance computing, and other computationally intensive workloads. You will lead the advancement of artificial intelligence platforms and practices, collaborating closely with internal Cisco Business Units and application teams. Your role will involve hands-on technical tasks such as building and supporting NVIDIA-based artificial intelligence platforms, planning, building and installing/upgrading new systems to support NVIDIA DGX hardware and software, and automating configuration management using modern DevOps tools. You will also be responsible for administering Linux systems, creating technical designs and documents, and staying up to date with AI industry advancements. As part of a hardware and software engineering team, you will work on designing and developing Hybrid-Cloud compute platforms that are essential for keeping Cisco's critical business applications and processes available. Your experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and software engineering will be valuable in managing complex integrated systems. To be successful in this role, you should have a BA, BS, or MS in CS, EE, CE or equivalent experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in deploying and administrating HPC clusters. Proficiency in GPU resource scheduling managers, Hybrid Cloud, Virtualization, Container technologies, operating systems, computer networks, and high-performance applications is required. Additionally, experience with project tracking tools, version control systems, CI/CD systems, programming languages, Agile, and DevOps operating models is essential.
