Technical Support Executive- Linux/RHEL/Openstack

As a Technical Support Engineer at Red Hat CEE Solutions team in Pune, India, your role will involve providing excellent customer support experience for enterprise subscription customers. You will serve as a trusted adviser to customers, closely partnering with them to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Red Hat cloud computing solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Ensuring customers derive maximum value from solutions and use them easily - Working with Red Hat enterprise customers globally on a 24x7 basis, involving periodic shifts - Providing issue resolution to strategic customers through various support channels - Developing solutions for customers while understanding their business needs - Exceeding customer expectations by delivering outstanding service - Keeping customers updated and ensuring their satisfaction with support - Collaborating with other engineers to devise creative solutions - Sharing knowledge in the Red Hat knowledge management system and presenting troubleshooting instructions to other engineers - Managing customer cases and maintaining clear case documentation - Participating in case review conference calls with customers as required Qualifications required for this role include: - 3+ years of Linux or UNIX system administration experience - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in the enterprise IT sector - Technical knowledge and experience of Linux kernel and networking - Fundamental understanding of OpenStack architecture and administration across all components - Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills with a passion for problem-solving - Customer service experience or prior technical support experience - Ability to manage and grow enterprise customer relationships - Red Hat certification like RHCSA in Red Hat OpenStack or RHCE, or willingness to pursue certification within the first 90 days - Ability to adapt to rapid change and limited structure - Proven ability and willingness to learn new open source technologies - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Additional qualifications that will be considered a plus: - Previous experience with Ceph or Gluster storage - Industry experience with SDN, NFV, and cloud networking - Professional experience in the telco industry - Scripting or programming experience in languages like Bash, C, or Python Red Hat is the world's leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, leveraging a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing technologies such as Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes.
