Job Description

As a member of the tendering team at Siemens Energy India Limited, your role will involve providing complete EHV and HV substation civil Bid engineering support for Tender Bid Lead in a timely and effective manner. **Responsibilities:** - Actively and independently provide bid offers for EHV and HV substations in AIS/GIS/HVDC/FACTS. - Prepare detailed estimations for civil work, including substation layout and activities involved in EHV and HV substations in all categories. - Manage inbound inquiries and coordinate customer care initiatives according to instructions. - Collaborate with multiple stakeholders such as Tender Manager, bid engineering, procurement, vendors, and execution and management teams to ensure competitive pricing and solutions. - Align the interests and suggestions of all stakeholders in the bid approval process as instructed. - Support the bid team in the timely PM process for Bid approvals. - Participate in Customer/PMC/Consultant discussions as needed. - Ensure proposals align with standards and regulations related to technical, financial, and statutory aspects. - Guide the Procurement/Execution teams in ordering suitable vendors. - Actively participate in specific strategic initiatives and topics with Tender Management. - Identify potential new vendors in challenging market dynamics situations. **Experience/Skills Required:** - Good understanding of Civil Engineering Estimates of Buildings/infrastructures, with knowledge of civil aspects related to substations HV/EHV portfolio being a must and an added advantage. - Experience in similar nature of work like Power plants, renewable energy, cement plants, steel plants, or other industrial projects in the absence of HV/EHV experience. - Knowledge of Codal provisions and Schedule of Rates. - Proven ability to learn new contractual concepts in Technical, Financial, and procurement functions. - Experience in tender bidding, substation/site execution/engineering, and procurement, preferably 7 years in a similar portfolio. - Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills. - Collaborative approach with internal stakeholders and a proactive attitude are necessary. - Negotiation skills with vendors to achieve the best cost value for the project. - Strong vendor base details across PAN India regions, EPC market cost intelligence on civil unit rates, and design consultant databases. - Proficiency in MS Office applications, AutoCAD/Basic design, and ability to communicate and understand contractual English. - Open to travel and quick to learn. **Educational Qualification:** - BE/B-Tech Civil Engineering with 10+ years of experience or Diploma with 15+ years in Civil Engineering.,
