Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of large-scale data analytics and AI projects in government sector engagements.
• Work with cross-functional teams including data engineers, business analysts, domain consultants and government stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical solutions with project objectives.
• Manage the development of Power BI dashboards, advanced Excel-based reporting and data visualization tools to support government decision-making.
• Oversee the design and implementation of data lake and data warehouse architectures, ensuring integration of structured and unstructured data sources.
• Drive the adoption of AI/ML models for use cases such as forecasting, citizen behavior analysis, service delivery optimization and anomaly detection.
• Establish and manage project plans, resource allocation, risk assessments and communication frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy, security and compliance requirements in line with public sector regulations.
• Coordinate with vendors, technology partners and government departments for smooth solution implementation.
• Prepare high-quality technical and management documentation, including project charters, technical specifications, MIS reports and progress updates.

Mandatory skill sets:

• Proven track record as a Technical Project Manager for data analytics or AI-led digital transformation projects, ideally in the government sector.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI and Advanced Excel, with the ability to guide teams on visualization and reporting best practices.
• Experience with data lake architecture, big data integration, ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and their practical application in public sector or citizen-centric projects.
• Excellent project management skills, including team coordination, budgeting, stakeholder communication and delivery management.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
• Strong documentation, presentation and client interfacing skills.

Preferred skill sets:

• Prior experience in government consulting, especially with departments like Health, Education, Transport, Urban Development, or Planning.
• Understanding of eGovernance frameworks, Digital India initiatives and data governance policies in the Indian public sector context.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data ecosystem components like Synapse, Redshift, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Exposure to BI/AI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Python, R, or ML platforms like Azure ML or AWS SageMaker.
• Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master, Microsoft Power BI, AWS/Azure Certified Data Engineer, or AI/ML certifications (desirable).

Education qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Data Science, or Public Policy (preferred).
