Technical Project Manager (Data Engineering)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of

  data engineering and analytics projects

  , ensuring timelines, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Collaborate with

  data engineers, data analysts, cloud architects

  , and business stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
• Manage

  project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk assessment

  for data-focused initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into

  technical specifications

  for engineering and analytics teams.
• Coordinate and track progress across cross-functional teams (engineering, analytics, QA, DevOps, etc.).
  
• Monitor and report project health, risks, and dependencies using

  Agile or hybrid methodologies

  .
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and security requirements are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Work with cloud teams to ensure

  efficient use of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  for data platforms.
• Drive technical discussions, review architecture, and validate feasibility of proposed solutions.
  
• Continuously improve project delivery processes and contribute to the

  project management best practices

Requirements:

• 5+ years

  of experience managing

  technical projects

  , with at least

  3 years

  in

  data engineering or analytics domains

  .
• Proven experience delivering

  cloud-based data projects

  (e.g., data lakes, pipelines, warehouses).
• Solid understanding of

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, or GCP) especially services like S3, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Data Factory, etc.
• Strong understanding of

  data engineering concepts

  : ETL/ELT, data modeling, data quality, streaming/batch processing.
• Familiarity with

  analytics workflows

  , BI tools, and KPIs used in business intelligence.
• Proficiency in

  Agile/Scrum methodologies

  and tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  
• Technical background (development or architecture) is a strong plus.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or PMP is a plus).
