Job Description

  • Director-level role within the Tech & Engineering Learning Academy
  • Responsible for shaping and delivering technical learning initiatives aligned to the bank's learning strategy
  • Focused on building future-ready capabilities across Engineering and Technology functions

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, evolve, and deliver the Tech and Engineering learning strategy in alignment with business and enterprise priorities
  • Design and deliver innovative technical learning solutions that build skills, expertise, and capability across technology domains
  • Partner with senior business stakeholders to diagnose learning needs and translate them into scalable learning solutions
  • Develop and maintain business-specific technical learning curriculums, learning pathways, and certification frameworks
  • Manage relationships with external learning providers, industry experts, and academic partners
  • Support reskilling, cross-skilling, and targeted capability-building initiatives across the organisation
  • Apply commercial and strategic insight to prioritise learning investments and outcomes
  • Support budget planning, governance, spend tracking, and prioritisation of learning initiatives
  • Track return on investment and business impact of learning solutions and report progress against outcomes
  • Ensure learning services are delivered through established operating models with appropriate quality and compliance controls
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and capability development across Tech and Engineering communities

Required Experience

  • Strong background in technology domains such as Software Engineering, Data, Cloud, Security, Testing, or Infrastructure
  • Proven experience developing and implementing learning strategies in large, complex organisations
  • Solid understanding of learning and development theories, models, and best practices
  • Experience working within federated learning delivery models and platforms
  • Demonstrated exposure to operational and financial planning, including learning budget management
