Technical Lead, UI Development

As the Technical UI Lead at Assent, you will be responsible for owning the design system strategy and leading the evolution of the shared component library. Your expertise in Angular and front-end architecture will be crucial in defining the technical direction, enforcing architectural standards, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, accessible, and well-tested UI solutions across multiple teams. Operating in a high-trust CI/CD environment, you will play a key role in setting expectations and embedding quality practices in the development process. Your tasks will include driving the creation of automated test coverage strategies using Playwright for end-to-end testing and Storybook for component development and documentation. Being part of a team that values the latest technology, you will work with tools like GitHub Copilot for AI-powered coding, Figma and FigJam for design, and continuously explore new tools to enhance customer experiences. Your role will involve leading the design, development, and implementation of complex Angular applications, creating a comprehensive library of reusable Angular components and services, managing a Git monorepo strategy for front-end projects, providing technical leadership and mentorship to Angular developers, enforcing best practices for Angular development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, overseeing code reviews, researching and evaluating new technologies, troubleshooting technical issues, and more. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in front-end development with a focus on Angular. Proficiency in Angular (versions 10+ preferred), NgRx for state management, RxJS for reactive programming, Git monorepos, HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Bootstrap is required. Experience with responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, agile methodologies, and excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with Jest or other unit testing frameworks for Angular, knowledge of accessibility best practices, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for front-end deployments, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
