Description
As the Technical Lead for eFACTORY at Thales in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, development, and support of the eFACTORY platform. Your responsibilities will include technical planning, architecture decision-making, team mentoring, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions for engineering operations. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the technical planning, design, and implementation of the eFACTORY platform and its components. - Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers and support engineers. - Drive best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Oversee system integrations for seamless connectivity between engineering tools and platforms. - Manage code reviews, architectural decisions, and technical documentation. - Identify risks, technical challenges, and propose mitigation strategies. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely and quality delivery. - Participate in resolving complex incidents escalated by support teams. - Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements. Required Skills: - 10+ years of strong experience in software development and technical leadership roles. - Expertise in architecture and design of complex engineering systems or platforms. - Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks used in eFACTORY (e.g., Java, C#, Python). - Solid understanding of integration technologies (APIs, web services, middleware). - Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. - Strong knowledge of databases, both relational and NoSQL. - Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes). - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to lead and inspire technical teams in an agile environment. Desired Skills: - Previous experience with engineering domain platforms or PLM systems. - Familiarity with eFACTORY or similar engineering factory platforms/tools. - Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT, and manufacturing automation. - Understanding of configuration management and software release processes. - Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). - Knowledge of security best practices and compliance in software delivery. - Certifications in relevant technologies or project management (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Scrum Master). - Experience in mentoring and coaching teams for technical excellence. - Familiarity with collaboration and issue tracking tools (JIRA, ServiceNOW).
