Technical Lead - DevOps Tool

As a Lead DevOps Engineer at Ameriprise India, you will have the opportunity to advocate for DevOps best practices and build scalable infrastructure to provide a world-class experience to clients. You will be responsible for influencing the DevOps roadmap to increase the speed to market. Your key responsibilities will include implementing and adopting best practices in DevSecOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Testing for both server-side and client-side applications. You will design a NextGen application strategy using Cloud-native architectures and build scalable, efficient cloud and on-premise infrastructure. Implementing monitoring for automated system health checks, building CI/CD pipelines, and training teams on DevSecOps best practices will also be part of your role. Collaborating with engineers to resolve application instability issues and maintaining change management control procedures and processes for UAT/QA and production releases will be essential. You will also implement test automation integration with CI/CD for extensive test coverage and enable metrics collection, while working with multiple distributed teams following Agile practices. In terms of qualifications, you should have at least 8 years of overall industry experience in building infrastructure and release management activities, along with 4+ years of experience in DevOps covering Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Testing. Strong code/scripting skills for IaaS automation, familiarity with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems, and experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible and Terraform are required. Knowledge of containerization tools such as Vagrant, Kubernetes, and Docker, as well as container orchestration tools like Marathon, Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS is important. Experience with Cloud/IaaS environments like AWS/GCP, monitoring/alerting tools such as Sumologic, Cloud Watch, and Prometheus, and SCM tools like BitBucket/Git is essential. Additionally, familiarity with code quality and security tools, performance tools, test and build systems, and understanding network topologies and hardware is expected. Knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, CDNs, cloud migration, and GitOps principles is preferred.
