Job Description

You will be responsible for serving as the Technical Liaison / Champion between the NESP function unit and the local engineering entity. Your main role will involve ensuring alignment in engineering execution, technical standardization, and best practices for strategic projects such as CO recovery/liquefaction, Amine Wash, small-scale LNG, and energy recovery solutions. By leading technical coordination efforts, you will contribute to establishing an Engineering Excellence Center to enhance engineering capabilities within the local entity. Your key responsibilities will include: Technical Coordination & Engineering Excellence: - Acting as the primary technical interface between the NESP function unit and the local engineering team. - Ensuring seamless integration of FU engineering requirements into local entity workflows. - Driving engineering best practices and standardization across various solutions. - Ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and NFPA. Project Execution & Quality Assurance: - Guiding the local engineering team to deliver error-free designs and calculations. - Establishing process workflows to enhance engineering efficiency and reduce rework. - Reviewing and validating engineering deliverables to meet function unit expectations. - Supporting feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and detailed engineering for strategic projects. Knowledge Transfer & Capability Development: - Facilitating training programs to enhance technical competencies in specific areas. - Mentoring local engineers and transferring knowledge from the function unit. - Leading workshops and discussions on emerging technologies and innovative solutions. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: - Collaborating with NESP function unit leaders to align engineering priorities. - Providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions. - Acting as a liaison for suppliers and third-party vendors to ensure smooth project execution. Standardization and Compliance: - Ensuring technical decisions align with industry standards and company policies. - Keeping up with regulatory requirements and certifications. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: - Maintaining up-to-date records of technical discussions, decisions, and changes. - Ensuring knowledge transfer across teams to build technical competency. Risk Management: - Identifying potential technical risks early in the project. - Developing mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns. As the Technical Liaison / Champion, you will also have supervisory responsibilities, serving as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department/organization. This will involve providing technical guidance, supporting talent development initiatives, and coordinating workload distribution to ensure efficient resource utilization. The job will primarily operate in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment. The role may require talking, hearing, and performing tasks that involve close vision and manual dexterity. You will be expected to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Process (or related field) and possess 10+ years of experience in engineering, with a focus on strategic energy projects.
